President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro was photographed wearing a Lazio shirt whilst watching a Brazilian league match.
The divisive 67-year-old politician was watching Internacional host Botafogo in a Série A match yesterday afternoon and his colleague Mario Frias snapped a photo of them watching the game, innocuously posting it to social media. The photo quickly went viral on both Italian and Brazilian Twitter, with the Lazio shirt being the focus of the attention.
There’s always a chance that Bolsonaro was showing support to 22-year-old Brazilian midfielder Marcos Antonio, who started his journey to Rome yesterday ahead of his transfer to Lazio.
