Fulham Offer Romagnoli High Value Contract as Lazio Stall

Fulham are the latest club to submit an offer to Alessio Romagnoli as Lazio continue to stall over his wage request.

The 27-year-old Italian centre-back has been in talks with the Biancocelesti for months now and he’s incredibly keen to join the club he’s supported since his childhood, but the Roman club are playing tough negotiators; Romagnoli is reportedly asking for around €3.2m net per season plus add-ons, but Lazio are refusing to offer above €2.8m net per season.

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla and Sky Sports Italia, Fulham have come forward for Romagnoli recently and have offered him a valuable contract, keen to bring him to the Premier League. The Italian centre-back has also received offers from Aston Villa and Newcastle United in recent days.

The reason why Lazio are continuing to stall is that they still haven’t found a new home for Francesco Acerbi, who asked for a transfer at the end of the season. Regardless, fans are beginning to lose their patience and failing to secure Romagnoli would not be a good start to the summer transfer window at all.

Time is running out now for Lazio and the expectation is that Romagnoli will continue to wait for another week or so before giving up, so next week will decisive regardless.
