Due to the difficulty in pulling off a deal for Marco Carnesecchi, Lazio have began looking at other options and have added Luis Maximiano to their list.

The 23-year-old Portuguese shot stopper impressed in his debut season with Granada, keeping eight clean sheets and conceding 55 goals in 35 La Liga appearances. He proved himself to be a reliable and quick goalkeeper, attracting the Biancocelesti’s attention.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio are now considering making a move for Luis Maximiano in the coming weeks. They’ll have to compete with Napoli, however, who are dealing with their own goalkeeping crisis.

The number one choice for the Biancocelesti is still the Atalanta prospect, but Luis Maximiano could become the main alternative should things not go to plan.

Both Maurizio Sarri and the fans are growing increasingly frustrated with Lazio’s slow progress in the transfer window, with Marcos Antonio being the only arrival so far. The Roman club also risk losing out on Alessio Romagnoli, something which would only exacerbate things.
