Milan Discuss Possible Deal With Lazio Defender Acerbi

Milan are keen to make a move for Francesco Acerbi this summer and they’ve started talks with his agent Federico Pastorello.

The 34-year-old Italian defender seems destined to leave the Biancocelesti this summer after completely falling out with the fans in the season just gone, creating a tense atmosphere for the former Sassuolo man in the Italian capital. A departure seems all but certain now, despite the fact that his contract expires in 2025.

As reported by transfer market expert Manuele Baiocchini, Milan are interested in picking up Acerbi and they’ve started talks with his agent Pastorello. Lazio value the 34-year-old at around €4 million, a sum needed to avoid making a capital loss.

At the moment talks have not started between the Rossoneri and the Biancocelesti but things could develop in the coming weeks. The fact that he’s Italian helps for squad registration reasons and he’d be a low-cost option to add some more experience to the Milanese club’s backline.
