Lazio Open to Lowering Asking Price for Sevilla Target Luis Alberto

Lazio may cash in on Sevilla linked Luis Alberto this summer in order to fund their squad overhaul.

Over the last few months, it seems as if the Biancocelesti were preparing to generate funds through the sale of star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who was linked with clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United. Things have fallen quiet recently, however, and now the strategy in Rome could change.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Sevilla’s initial offer of €16 million was quickly rejected by Lazio, but things could develop as the Biancocelesti are seemingly open to lowering his price tag from €30 million to €25 million in order to facilitate a departure. 30% of this fee would go to Liverpool as a result of a clause in the deal that brought him to Rome.

Sevilla are ready to launch another offer for Luis Alberto and they could finally give the 29-year-old his much-desired return to the Iberian peninsula.

Luis Alberto made 44 appearances across all competitions last season, for a total of 3003 minutes. In that time, he scored five goals and provided 12 assists.
