Lazio are incredibly keen to make a move for Hellas Verona prospect Ivan Ilic but everything comes down to the future of Luis Alberto.
The Spanish midfielder is linked with a possible return to Spain this summer and the Biancocelesti are open to a sale, needing to generate some funds for their squad overhaul. The suggestion seems to be that one of Luis Alberto or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will leave this summer, and many fans prefer a departure of the former.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Luis Alberto is wanted by both Sevilla and Valencia, but neither have offered Lazio the €25 million requested. Should the Spaniard be sold this summer, the Roman club would then look to make a move for Ilic, who shined this season with Hellas Verona.
Another possible Luis Alberto replacement is Stade Rennais’ Benjamin Bourigeaud, but for the time being no moves in this area will take place until the 28-year-old Spanish midfielder is sold.
