Milan Working to Sign Acerbi but Obstacles Slow Progress

Milan have submitted an offer for Francesco Acerbi but various difficulties are slowing the progress of a possible deal with Lazio.

The Biancocelesti want to close out the deal for Alessio Romagnoli and reports suggest that a distance of €300,000 separates offer from demand. The suggestion was that the club were waiting for Acerbi to depart before they closed out the deal for the Milan captain.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio president Claudio Lotito is not that keen to sell Acerbi and neither is sporting director Igli Tare, who would prefer to keep him or wait for him to leave until finalising the Romagnoli deal.

The Italian defender’s agent Federico Pastorello is in talks with Milan’s management and they’ve reportedly offered €2 million, far from Lazio’s requested €4-5 million.

The Rossoneri are considering what to do next, and for now are focusing on other deals. They’re also waiting for a defender to leave, like Matteo Gabbia.
