Arsenal Ready to Send Improved Bid for Lazio Star Milinkovic-Savic

Arsenal have not given up on Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and they’re ready to send in a new offer.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder initially seemed destined to leave the Biancocelesti this summer as he looked set to make the jump to a top club, ready for high level Champions League football. Super offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United never arrived, however, and a stay in Rome began to look more and more likely.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Arsenal made an initial €55 million offer for Milinkovic-Savic but this was turned down by Lazio, who wanted to cash in a little more. Now the Gunners are ready to improve their bid.

The North London club are in constant contact with his agent Mateja Kezman and now they’re prepared to send in a better offer in order to try and reach a deal, although they’re not keen to pay the €65 million wanted by president Claudio Lotito.

Maurizio Sarri, for his part, is open to letting Milinkovic-Savic leave this summer if it meant he’d receive a few more reinforcements.
