Lazio have reportedly agreed a deal with Granada for promising Portuguese goalkeeper Luis Maximiano.

The Biancocelesti have been left empty handed following the departures of Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina earlier this month, leaving them without any first team goalkeepers. As such, they’ve been forced to speed up in the transfer market in order to give Maurizio Sarri his reinforcements.

As reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Lazio have agreed to sign Luis Maximiano from Granada on a loan deal with a €7 million buy option attached. The deal could also become a definitive transfer, depending on the total costs of the affair.

The Roman club are pushing to close out and finalise a deal soon, desperate to integrate the new arrivals at the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore.

Sarri only has a few weeks to work closely with his squad before the 2022-23 season starts, with Lazio’s first game of the season coming against Bologna on 14th August.
