Nicolo Casale has officially completed his move from Hellas Verona to Lazio, finally joining Maurizio Sarri’s side after months of interest.
The Biancocelesti have been following the 24-year-old Italian centre back for months now, incredibly impressed watching his breakout season under Igor Tudor in Veneto. Lazio looked to make a move for Casale in January before agreeing to return at the end of the season.
As announced in an official statement, Nicolo Casale has signed for Lazio after completing a transfer from Hellas Verona. He signed a five-year deal with the Roman club and is set to become a starter under Sarri.
The Italian defender is known for both his strong offensive and defensive play, and his comfort with the ball will make him the perfect fit for the progressive 4-3-3 system in Rome.
In the season just gone, the 24-year-old Casale made 36 Serie A appearances, for a total of 2591 minutes. In that time, he provided two assists and proved himself a key contributor in the build-up play.
