Lazio Agree Personal Terms With Spezia Goalkeeper Provedel

Lazio have agreed a contract with Ivan Provedel and now need to iron out a deal with Spezia.

The Biancocelesti know that two goalkeepers are needed this summer following the departures of Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina, and the 28-year-old Italian shot stopper seems like a strong option.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Lazio have agreed a contract with Provedel that’ll see him earn around €1 million net per season plus add-ons. The Roman club value him at around €3 million, but Spezia feel he’s worth significantly more, closer to €6 million.

Talks between the two parties are now ongoing and the Biancocelesti are hoping to finalise a deal soon, desperate to provide Maurizio Sarri with his new reinforcements during the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore.

Last season, Provedel made 31 Serie A appearances for Spezia, for a total of 2762 minutes. In that time, he kept seven clean sheets and conceded 52 goals, but he impressed with his post-shot Expected Goals minus Goals Allowed stat, which saw him finish the season with +2.7, proving his shot stopping skills.
