Lazio in Final Stages of Deal for Granada’s Luis Maximiano

Lazio are hoping to close out a deal for Granada shot stopper Luis Maximiano soon, with things in the final stages now.

The Biancocelesti have been desperately working to pick up two new goalkeepers following the departures of Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina last week. They’re looking to reach a deal for Spezia’s Ivan Provedel, and now they’re working to pick up their other main target as well.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24), talks between Granada and Lazio are in the final stages now; the Roman club are looking to sign Luis Maximiano on a €2 million loan deal with a buy option attached worth €8 million, although the Spanish side would prefer that to be an obligation.

The Spanish side will also hold a 20% future resale clause on the Portuguese goalkeeper, giving them an avenue for future profit.

Things are expected to be finalised in the coming days, with Lazio desperate to provide Maurizio Sarri with his new reinforcements.
