Alessio Romagnoli is expected to undergo his pre-transfer medicals with Lazio next week before putting pen to paper on a five-year contract.
The 27-year-old Italian centre back has been in talks with the Biancocelesti for a number of months now, with the Roman club making it clear that they were desperate to secure his signature. Talks have been ongoing for a while and an agreement has finally been reached between the parties.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Romagnoli is expected to undergo his pre-transfer medicals at the Paideia clinic in Rome on Tuesday following the recent agreement with Lazio. Should everything go to plan, he will put pen to paper on a five-year deal worth a little over €3m net per season plus add-ons.
The Italian defender would then head up to Auronzo di Cadore to join up with Maurizio Sarri’s squad at the pre-season training camp. Every training session is vital for the new arrivals as they work to adapt to the tactical system ahead of the upcoming campaign.
