Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will arrive at the Lazio pre-season training camp tomorrow and in the evening he’ll see with Maurizio Sarri to discuss his future.
The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder had a slightly extended holiday due to his commitments with the Serbian national team, but now he’s ready to link up with the squad in Auronzo di Cadore. Entering the summer, Milinkovic-Savic was heavily linked with moves to either Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain, but ultimately a move never materialised.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Milinkovic-Savic is expected to arrive in Auronzo tomorrow to join up with the Lazio squad, and in the evening he’ll have a meeting with Sarri to discuss his future.
Reports suggest that the 27-year-old Serbian is only keen to leave Rome for Champions League football, something the interested Arsenal can’t provide. Sarri is keen to see the player’s motivation ahead of the new season, however, not wanting to rely on a player who already has one foot out the door.
I hope the kids singing/asking Sergej to stay today, helped.
We need to decide to cash in this year or not. I really don’t think he will re-sign unless we are pushing top 4 this season.
It seems like Luis will stay and SMS should go to Arsenal or PSG.
