Strakosha Agrees Free Transfer to Brentford

Thomas Strakosha is set to join Premier League side Brentford on a free transfer after leaving Lazio earlier this month.

The 27-year-old Albanian shot stopper left the Roman club after his contract expired, forcing him to find a new home after 10 years in the Italian capital. Strakosha has been linked with a variety of Premier League clubs over the last few weeks, like Fulham and Manchester United, making his desire to move to England clear.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Brentford are now close to completing the signing of Strakosha, who is currently undergoing his medicals with the West London side.

The Albanian goalkeeper will be hoping to prove his mettle in the Premier League after a difficult final few seasons in Rome.

Strakosha made 208 appearance across all competitions during his 10 years associated with Lazio. In that time, he kept 62 clean sheets and conceded 247 goals, proving himself to be a good shot stopper.
