Arriving from Hellas Verona is Italian defender Nicolo Casale. This comes as no surprise considering the club has been interested in the defender since the Winter of 2022. He is also on a five-year contract and the deal has been made with Hellas Verona for the price of €7 million plus €3 million in add-ons. Reportedly, the meeting between the two clubs lasted five hours! When it comes to Casale’s results last season, it’s no wonder Lazio was looking to close in on the deal so eagerly. He has made 37 appearances in Hellas Verona and provided two assists during that time. However, most are thoroughly impressed with his defensive play during his 2613 minutes on the field.
Luis Maximiano
Granada’s goalkeeper Luis Maximiano transferred to Lazio in 2022 for a deal of a little over €10m! They will also pay an extra €500,000 to Granada for the player. This is a welcome addition considering Lazio’s loss of both goalkeepers Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina, who went to Brentford and Villareal, respectively. Maximiano signed a five-year contract and we can only assume his results will be spectacular; especially looking at his potential and statistics from last season.
Alessio Romagnoli
Having left Milan as a free agent, Lazio managed to close in on a deal with Romagnoli for the next season. Although Juventus and Fulham were also interested in Romagnoli, it seems Lazio was his personal preference. Sources cite his personal history as the reason Lazio won out in the end. When it comes to contract length and price, it seems the former Milan centre-back has signed a five-year contract in Lazio worth €3m per season. Of course, Romagnoli will also receive bonuses based on his performance, of which we assume there will be many!
