Sampdoria and Cremonese have emerged for Lazio midfielder Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, who could depart this summer.
The 29-year-old Ivorian midfielder hardly featured last campaign under Maurizio Sarri, making only 10 Serie A appearances for a total of 311 minutes. In the second half of the season, he only played 12 minutes of Serie A action, making it clear that he’s not exactly a key figure in the Italian capital.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Akpa Akpro has recently been approached by both Sampdoria and Cremonese, with both clubs exploring the idea of a possible deal. Lazio could look to sell to either side but they may also try and use him in a swap deal of some sort.
Akpa Akpro, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2025, joined the club in September 2020 from Salernitana in a deal worth around €12.7 million. He’s made 55 appearances for the club since his arrival, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
