Torino are considering making a move for Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi once they finalise the sale of Gleison Bremer.
The 25-year-old Brazilian defender is reportedly on the verge of completing a €47m total move to Juventus, forcing the Granata to find an adequate replacement for coach Ivan Juric. One centre back whose been on the transfer list for a while now is Acerbi, and the move could suit both parties.
As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Torino have their eyes set on two defenders in particular to replace Bremer: Acerbi and Reims’ Wout Faes. Juric has been unhappy with the Granata’s work in the transfer window so far, so he expects a replacement very soon.
Lazio want around €5m for Acerbi, looking to avoid making a capital loss, but his long contract and obviously tense situation put the club in a tough negotiating position.
Acerbi has been booed and jeered at the pre-season training camp this summer, confirming that the fans still haven’t forgiven him following last season’s controversy.
