Lazio Could Finally Hit Breakthrough in Provedel Talks With Spezia

Lazio are still working hard to agree a deal for Ivan Provedel and they could reach a breakthrough soon as Spezia look to sign his replacement.

Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito personally contacted the Ligurian club to try and secure a deal for the 28-year-old Italian and he had a direct meeting with vice-president Andrea Corradino.

Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) reports that Lazio have offered Spezia around €3.5m plus €1m in add-ons for Provedel, but this hasn’t been accepted yet. They’re asking for a higher fixed sum, and the deal could be turned into a loan with a buy option set at €4.5m (although Provedel would need to sign a one-year renewal for this idea).

Gianluca Di Marzio noted that Spezia are currently in talks with Fiorentina for Bartłomiej Drągowski, and should they pull off this deal, it would unblock Provedel’s move to Lazio.

Updates are expected in the coming days, with both parties keen to resolve this situation as fast as possible either way.
