Official: Lazio Sell Muriqi to RCD Mallorca in Definitive Transfer

Vedat Muriqi has left Lazio to join RCD Mallorca on a definitive transfer, returning after a positive loan spell.

The 28-year-old Kosovan forward joined the Spanish outfit on a six-month loan spell back in January, where he immediately found some form; Muriqi scored four goals and provided three assists in 15 La Liga appearances, helping Mallorca to avoid relegation.

Lazio released a statement today confirming the definitive sale of Muriqi to Mallorca, where he’s signed a multi-year contract.

Corriere dello Sport indicates that the deal is worth €10-11 million total, with €8m being fixed and the other €2-3m being add-ons, enough to see Lazio avoid a major capital loss.

The 28-year-old will reportedly sign a four-year contract with Mallorca worth around €2.2m net per season.

During the Kosovan forward’s two-year spell with Lazio, he made 49 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He ultimately failed to live up to his €20m price tag and never showed his true form in the Italian capital.
