Lazio Prepared Should Either Luis Alberto or Milinkovic-Savic Be Sold

Lazio are ready to say goodbye to either Luis Alberto or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer and they’ve already lined up some possible replacements.

The pair are two of the most coveted parts of the Biancocelesti squad and have been consistently impressing for years now, helping push the Roman club further than they have any right to go. Both players have often been the target of transfer market rumours and this summer has been no different, but things could finally change in the coming weeks.

As highlighted by LazioNews24, Sevilla are keen to make a move for Luis Alberto still this summer and are waiting to finalise the sale of Jules Kounde to Chelsea before they make another attempt. Should he depart, Lazio would look to pick up Hellas Verona’s Ivan Ilic.

Regarding Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Manchester United and Chelsea could both return to the picture in the coming weeks, especially if the former fail to sign Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong. The Serbian would cost around €70-80m, money that would be used to pick up Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski.

  1. None of the replacements is on the same quality level. It’d be a downgrade if any of that happened.
Perhaps Loftus Cheek to be considered as well

  2. It would be idiotic to sell either. Why don’t they just KEEP them, and make a push for Top 4?

Napoli and Juve are weakened, and Lazio are returning a strong squad. They shouldn’t sell their best midfielder just to cash a big check.
