Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is keeping a close eye on midfielder Uros Racic, who has been transfer listed by Valencia.
The Biancocelesti are still looking to make a few more additions to Maurizio Sarri’s squad ahead of the upcoming campaign and one area they’re focusing on is a backup midfielder. One option is free agent Matias Vecino, but the Roman club are also open to other ideas.
As reported by El Gol Digital (via LazioNews24), Lazio have set their sights on Racic and are considering making a move for the Serbian midfielder. A number of other clubs have already asked for information about the 24-year-old, including Osasuna, Fiorentina and Inter.
It’s reported that Inter are leading the race to secure his signature, but things could change should Lazio seriously enter the fray.
Contracted to Valencia until 2024, Racic made 34 appearances across all competitions last season, providing one assist and doing a decent job in front of the defence.
For me, Matías Vecino is a better choice. More experienced, proved himself in Serie A and he’s free.
