Dragowski Set for Spezia, Allowing Provedel to Finally Join Lazio

Spezia are reportedly in the final stages of completing a deal for Fiorentina’s Bartlomiej Dragowski, which would unblock Ivan Provedel to Lazio.

The Biancocelesti have been desperate to sign the Italian shot-stopper for a few weeks now, believing him to be the perfect number two option alongside Luis Maximiano in Rome. Lazio have agreed to pay Spezia €2.5m for Provedel, but the Ligurians have been slow in securing a replacement.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Spezia have finally reached a breakthrough in their negotiations with Fiorentina and they’re now closing in on a deal for Dragowski, which would then allow them to finally sell Provedel to Lazio.

The Biancocelesti are keen to finalise this deal imminently, hoping to give the Italian goalkeeper as much contact time with coach Maurizio Sarri as possible. Provedel impressed last season with Spezia and seems like a reliable and solid backup option for Luis Maximiano, who has started life in Rome well.
