Lazio Hit Yet Another Snag in Work to Sign Provedel

Lazio are still facing difficulties in their work to sign Ivan Provedel, with agent commissions proving the latest problem.

The Biancocelesti have already made seven signings this summer and they’re desperate to make at least one more as they look to provide coach Maurizio Sarri with a suitable backup goalkeeper. The main target has long been Provedel, but the negotiations have been anything but easy.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio and Spezia have agreed a deal for Provedel worth €2.5m and personal terms have almost been fully agreed, but the two parties still haven’t agreed on how much the agent commissions will be.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito is holding out and refusing to change his position, having already spent significantly more than usual this summer.

Agent commissions aren’t the only obstacle either; Bartlomiej Dragowski will hasn’t agreed to join Spezia yet and is currently hoping for more ambitious offers. The Ligurian side are still trying to convince him of the move, but Lazio aren’t willing to get caught out empty handed, so they’re already exploring a move for Atalanta’s Marco Sportiello.
