Lazio are interested in making a move for free agent Andrea Belotti and they’ve reportedly started contacts with his entourage.
The 28-year-old Italian striker left Torino on a free transfer earlier this summer, bringing an end to a seven-year spell with the Granata. Almost a month has passed since Belotti left Turin and he’s still not joined a new club yet. With the Serie A season rapidly approaching, the Italian striker will soon make his decision.
As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Lazio have recently opened talks with Belotti’s entourage to explore a possible move. Considering his quality, being able to sign the 28-year-old on a free transfer is an exciting opportunity.
The Roman club are facing serious competition from both home and abroad, with clubs from Roma to Borussia Dortmund keen to secure the Italian forward.
Lazio believe that they might have a secret weapon: Ciro Immobile. The 32-year-old is a close friend of Belotti and they have fond memories of their time together at both Torino and the Italian national team, so the Biancocelesti hope their friendship can make the difference.
I like his work rate, mentality and most of his skills too. Not to mention he is Italian and it would indeed be a a coup from my point of view, especially if Roma are in for him too.
Let’s see what’ll happen.
