Matias Vecino arrived at the Paideia clinic in Rome this morning to take his medicals with Lazio ahead of his free transfer.
The 30-year-old Uruguayan midfielder is currently a free agent after his contract expired with Inter last month, forcing him to find a new home. Lazio have been keen to pick up Vecino for a while now, with Maurizio Sarri remembering him well from their time together at Empoli.
Vecino has agreed to sign a three-year contract with an option for a fourth with Lazio, understood to be worth around €1.5m net per season plus add-ons. Should the medicals go to plan, the Uruguayan will put pen to paper on his deal later today.
