Juventus Full Back Pellegrini Linked With a Move to Lazio

Lazio have reportedly added Juventus left back Luca Pellegrini to their list of transfer targets as they look to reinforce the role ahead of the upcoming season.

The Biancocelesti’s current offerings at left back include the underwhelming Elseid Hysaj, the adapted Adam Marusic and the veteran Stefan Radu. It’s clear to both Maurizio Sarri and Igli Tare that a reinforcement is needed, which is now one of Lazio’s priorities alongside picking up a new goalkeeper.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio’s main target is Chelsea full back Emerson Palmieri, but a deal for the Italian-Brazilian may be difficult to pull off, so they’re keeping an eye on a number of other possible options. Pellegrini is the latest player to be added to this list, with Juventus open to a possible deal.

The Bianconeri would need a fair offer to allow the 23-year-old Italian to leave this summer. He has an estimated market value of around €9 million and is contracted to the club until 2025.

Last season, Pellegrini only made 21 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1236 minutes. He mostly played second fiddle to either Alex Sandro or Mattia De Sciglio, leaving him sidelined for large parts of the campaign.
