Inzaghi Pushing to Bring Lazio Outcast Acerbi to Inter

Simone Inzaghi has again reiterated his desire to see Francesco Acerbi brought to Inter.

With less than a month left in the summer transfer window, Lazio need to work hard if they want to continue thinning out their squad, finding new homes for their redundant players. A number of departures have already been finalised, like Denis Vavro, Jony and Vedat Muriqi, but one of the most pressing matters is still the future of Acerbi.

As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Inzaghi mentioned Acerbi to CEO Beppe Marotta recently as Inter continue to look for a backup for Stefan de Vrij.

The Italian coach is still a big fan of the former Sassuolo centre back and he’s keen to be reunited with the veteran, who has not been included in Maurizio Sarri’s project in Rome.

Acerbi handed in a transfer request at the end of last season and could be signed for as low as €4-5m, although his €2.5m net per season salary is a slight concern.
