Lotito Talks Transfer Market Status of Milinkovic-Savic & Luis Alberto

Claudio Lotito reflected on Lazio’s work in the summer transfer window and the current status of star pair Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto.

Both players have been heavily linked with moves away from Rome this summer, with reports previously suggesting that the former was close to a high-profile transfer to either Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United. Luis Alberto has been endlessly linked with a move to Sevilla, but their acquisition of Isco makes the switch unlikely now.

Speaking to Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lotito first spoke about Lazio’s star midfielders Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto.

50 million? At that amount, I wouldn’t sell Milinkovic-Savic, he’s worth much more than that.

Our transfer market is complete and finished. Also because Luis Alberto will also stay.

The Lazio president noted that he kept the promises made to coach Maurizio Sarri.

I kept all the promises I made in a short time. All the reinforcements Sarri wanted for the squad have been signed.

Finally, Lotito commented on the number of season tickets purchased by fans over the last few weeks.

I want to applaud our supporters. The season tickets are a good response to our efforts even if we can do even better.

Lazio have rejuvenated their squad this summer, picking up eight new players to revitalise the team and kick off a new cycle. New acquisitions include key additions like Luis Maximiano, Marcos Antonio, Alessio Romagnoli and Matteo Cancellieri.
