Referee Marco Piccinini has been appointed to oversee the upcoming Serie A clash between Torino and Lazio.

The Biancocelesti are gearing up for their second match of the campaign and they’re keen to put on a more confident display following a tough season opener against Bologna. Last year, Lazio picked up a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, a result they’ll be hoping to improve on.

As announced by Lega Serie A, Piccinini will lead the officiating team for Lazio’s upcoming match against Torino, his fifth game involving the Roman club.

Below is the full officiating team for Torino vs Lazio:

  • Referee: Piccinini
  • Assistant Referees: Tolfo – Capaldo
  • Fourth Official: Marinelli
  • VAR: Di Paolo
  • Assistant VAR: Longo

The 38-year-old Forli-born referee has officiated four Biancocelesti matches in the past, with the first being a 2-1 win over Cagliari in July 2020. The other three games were a 4-1 loss to Hellas Verona, a 4-4 draw with Udinese and a 3-0 win over Bologna, all in the last campaign.
