New signings Nicolo Casale and Marcos Antonio are looking to convince Maurizio Sarri to make them regular starters for Lazio.
The pair were two of the most important summer signings for the Biancocelesti, with the Italian centre back being a much-appreciated figure by Sarri for his skills on the ball and the Brazilian midfielder being the long-term replacement for Lucas Leiva.
As highlighted by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Marcos Antonio started the season opener against Bologna on the Lazio bench and Casale was out due to suspension, so both are hoping to make their first starts in the upcoming match against Torino.
The Brazilian is seemingly competing with Danilo Cataldi for a starting spot in the midfield, whilst the Italian will have to work hard to displace either Patric or Alessio Romagnoli in the backline.
Both players will undoubtedly need a little time to adapt to Sarri’s 4-3-3 system but both are also keen to convince, wanting to show their qualities in Rome.
