Lazio Serious About Move for Tottenham Left Back Reguilon

Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants to close out the transfer window with a new left back and Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon has seemingly become the club’s primary target.

The 25-year-old Spanish full back seems to be on his way out of North London this month after failing to convince coach Antonio Conte last season. Reguilon is a hard-working and disciplined left back who is tactically intelligent and strong in the final third, producing an average of 2.44 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes last season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lotito knows that Lazio still need a new left back before the transfer window closes and the club’s sights have now been set on Reguilon, who could leave Tottenham on a loan deal with a buy option attached this summer.

The Premier League side are seemingly open to paying part of his €3.6m net per season wages, something that would be key if a deal is to be completed. Whilst there are some indications that Lazio would need to sell Elseid Hysaj first, the Roman club could still look to complete the transfer regardless, especially if Mohamed Fares is re-homed.
