Francesco Acerbi is waiting for Inter to finalise a deal with Lazio as he puts an offer from Olympique Marseille on hold, reports suggest.
The 34-year-old centre back is keen to leave the Italian capital after a difficult year and he handed in a transfer request at the end of last season, making his intensions clear. Acerbi has snubbed approaches from Monza and Torino as he awaits a move to Inter, who are working to reach an agreement with Lazio.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Inter and Lazio have agreed to a loan deal with a buy option attached for Acerbi, and now need to discuss if the loan itself will have a fee attached.
The Nerazzurri consider Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji to be a viable alternative, although the German outfit want around €15-20m for the defender.
Acerbi has recently received an approach from Marseille but he’s put that on hold as he waits for Inter to finalise a move.
