Valencia are keeping a close eye on Lazio midfielder Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro ahead of a possible last minute move, reports suggest.
The Biancocelesti have been looking to re-home the 29-year-old Ivorian midfielder for a number of weeks now, keen to make some space in their squad for a new left back. Akpa Akpro failed to convince coach Maurizio Sarri last campaign, hardly featuring across the season.
As reported by Las Provincias and Foot365 (via LazioNews24), Valencia are interested in signing Akpa Akpro this summer, keen to pick up the Lazio midfielder on a dry loan deal. Concrete talks have not started yet between the two clubs but things could move quickly as the transfer window starts to draw to a close.
Akpa Akpro is unlikely to feature this season under Sarri and a move away would give him the chance to receive some minutes. Rumours of a return to Toulouse have fallen quiet in recent weeks, so Valencia might be the right option now.
