UEFA have officially confirmed the dates of this season’s Europa League clashes, giving Lazio a chance to prepare for their European campaign.
The Biancocelesti have been drawn into Group F alongside Feyenoord, Midtjylland and Sturm Graz. This seems to be a fairly decent group for Lazio and they’ll likely be fighting with the Dutch side for a top spot finish. Last season, the Roman club finished second in a group that also contained Galatasaray, Olympique Marseille and Lokomotiv Moscow.
Below is Lazio’s full Europa League group stage schedule (via UEFA):
- Week 1: Lazio v Feyenoord, September 8 at 21:00 local time
- Week 2: Midtjylland v Lazio, September 15 at 18:45
- Week 3: Sturm Graz v Lazio, October 6 at 18:45
- Week 4: Lazio v Sturm Graz, October 13 at 21:00
- Week 5: Lazio v Midtjylland, October 27 at 18:45
- Week 6: Feyenoord v Lazio, November 3 at 18:45
Lazio haven’t reached the quarter finals of the Europa League since the 2017-18 campaign, when they were knocked out by RB Salzburg 6-5 on aggregate.
Decent group. Important to clearly come in first and avoid a tougher 2nd round draw.
