In the twilight of the transfer window, Lazio are still without a new left back and so are considering a last minute move for Emanuele Valeri.

The Biancocelesti were seemingly seriously interested in making a move for outgoing Tottenham full back Sergio Reguilon, but ultimately they lost out to Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.

Maurizio Sarri has again made it clear that Elseid Hysaj is not up to scratch and that he wants a reinforcement to arrive before the transfer window closes this week.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio have reignited interest in Cremonese left back Valeri, a player they’ve been following for a little while now. The 23-year-old Italian started his youth career with the Biancocelesti before moving on to Urbetevere, and he could return to Rome.

Valeri’s contract expires with Cremonese next summer, making a move fairly accessible. The fact that the transfer window is rapidly closely, however, forces Lazio to move fast if they want to get a deal across the finish line in time. The 23-year-old has an estimated market value of around €2 million.
