Djavan Anderson Leaves Lazio for Oxford United

Full back Djavan Anderson has left Lazio after four years to join English League One side Oxford United on a definitive transfer.

The Surinamese right back joined the Roman club on a free transfer in August 2018 after a one-year spell with Bari. He never broke into the first team in Rome and only ever made a handful of appearances for the club amid seemingly endless loan spells around Italy and the Netherlands.

As announced by Lazio, Djavan Anderson has now left the club to join Oxford United on a permanent transfer, signing a one-year deal with an option for a second. The 27-year-old will be hoping to have finally found some stability in order to show his best on the pitch.

During his four years contracted to the Roman club, Anderson made 10 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 264 minutes. Last season, the 27-year-old provided two assists in 14 appearances whilst on loan with Zwolle.
