Lazio Player Ratings for Harrowing 2-1 Loss to Napoli

Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio suffered a difficult defeat to a fired up Napoli, leaving goalkeeper Ivan Provedel to be the only bright spot for the home side.

Mattia Zaccagni gave the Biancocelesti an early lead after a quick move from Felipe Anderson, but the team couldn’t maintain that energy as the Partenopei grew into the game. Luciano Spalletti’s side soon started to dominate proceedings and they managed to find an equaliser before the half time break.

Napoli remained in control in the second half, leaving Lazio ragged and lost across the pitch. Provedel stood out for his strong performance, making five saves and conceding two fairly unstoppable goals. The rest of the squad struggled to impress, looking outclassed by a Scudetto hungry Partenopei.
