Manuel Lazzari was forced off the pitch in the 2-0 win against Hellas Verona on Sunday, leaving Lazio concerned.
The 28-year-old Italian full back has grown into a key player in Maurizio Sarri’s squad, proving a reliable and consistent option on the right side of the defence. Lazzari initially struggled to switch from a wing back to a true full back under Sarri last season but things clicked earlier this year and he’s been playing well.
As highlighted by LazioNews24, Lazzari was forced to come off in the 76th minute of Lazio’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday, seemingly suffering a left hamstring injury. The Italian looked in pain as he limped off the pitch, clutching his leg and grimacing.
There are fears that the 28-year-old could be sidelined for a number of weeks due to the injury, although further tests will be carried out to understand the true extent of the issue.
