Luka Romero is hoping to make his European debut in the Europa League clash against FC Midtjylland tomorrow whilst Lazio continue to work on a new contract for the teenager.
The 17-year-old Argentinian forward has the chance to make a strong impact in Denmark tomorrow due to the injury to Pedro and the heavy workloads of Mattia Zaccagni and Felipe Anderson. Romero only made a handful of Serie A appearances last season for Lazio and wants to make his European debut with the club.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio cannot tie down Luka Romero to a new deal until 18th November at the earliest, when he turns 18. The Argentinian teenager currently earns around €400,000 net per season, high figures for a young talent, and the club are looking to further reward him.
Lazio are preparing a new five-year deal that includes a wage bump, a sign of their high trust in the talented forward, but they’re not alone in their appreciation for the 17-year-old. Multiple offers could tempt him away from Rome, but the Biancocelesti are hoping that he’ll continue his adventure in the Italian capital.
