Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was the only Lazio player not to put in a truly horrible performance in the 5-1 loss to FC Midtjylland.
The Biancocelesti likely expected a strong result against the Danish side after their thrilling 4-2 win over Feyenoord in their Europa League opener, but instead the team stumbled to an embarrassing defeat at the MCH Arena in Herning.
First half goals from Paulinho and Sory Kaba were followed up by second half strikes from Evander Ferreira, Gustav Isaksen and Erik Sviatchenko, embarrassing Maurizio Sarri’s side on the European stage. Milinkovic-Savic picked up a consolation goal just before the hour mark, but it was ultimately irrelevant.
Sarri was left forlorn on the touchline and he’ll need to fire up his squad ahead of their upcoming Serie A clash against newly promoted Cremonese.
Below are the Lazio squad’s player ratings for their terrible 5-1 loss to FC Midtjylland.
