Lazio have announced their intention to reimburse the 225 fans who travelled to the MCH Arena to watch the team lose 5-1 to FC Midtjylland.
The Biancocelesti suffered one of their worst defeats in European competition ever in Denmark earlier this week, embarrassing themselves in Denmark as they lost 5-1 to a struggling Midtjylland side. Their Danish opposition have not started well in the league and lost their Europa League opener to Sturm Graz 1-0.
As announced by Lazio, the 225 fans who watched the 5-1 loss to Midtjylland in person will be reimbursed for their tickets, showing the team’s shame after their defeat. Despite the result, this is still a positive gesture.
The squad and coach Maurizio Sarri apologised to the fans at the end of the full time whistle, looking empty and forlorn as they faced the music.
The team need to bounce back in tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Cremonese if they want to restore some positivity in the Italian capital.
