Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has played 303 games with Lazio, entering the list of the club’s all-time top 10 appearance makers.
The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder joined the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2015 from Genk in a deal worth around €12 million, a fee that looks like a bargain in hindsight. Since then, Milinkovic-Savic has grown into one of the best midfielders in the world, often attracting the attention of top clubs around Europe.
As highlighted by Lazio, the 4-0 win over Cremonese yesterday was Milinkovic-Savic’s 303rd appearance with the club, enough to see him enter the top 10 appearance makers list, tying him with Stefano Mauri.
The Serbian star has the chance to overtake ninth place Cristian Ledesma, sat on 318 appearances, as well this season. Topping this list is Stefan Radu, who has appeared in 424 games across all competitions for the Roman club.
Despite endless links with a move away from the Italian capital, Milinkovic-Savic has stayed loyal and become a real star in Rome.
