Manuel Lazzari is still struggling with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to take part in Lazio’s next match against Spezia.
The 28-year-old Italian right back was taken off in the 76th minute of the Biancocelesti’s 2-0 win over Hellas Verona earlier this month and he was forced to miss the 4-0 win over Cremonese last weekend. Lazzari has been recovering in Formello but things will take a little longer than initially expected.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), medical tests yesterday confirmed that Lazzari had suffered a first-degree injury to the biceps femoris muscle, essentially a hamstring issue. Lazio do not want to take any risks and so will not deploy him in the match against Spezia on 2nd October.
The hope is that the 28-year-old Italian right back will be fit in time for the following game against Austrian side Sturm Graz or even the one after that against Fiorentina on 10th October.
