Ciro Immobile will not take part in tonight’s Nations League clash between Italy and England.

The 32-year-old Italian striker is one of three Lazio players called up by Roberto Mancini for this international break alongside Matteo Cancellieri and Ivan Provedel, but he’ll be forced to watch the Azzurri from the sidelines.

Immobile may not be too prolific for the Italian national team but he’s still an important point of reference in the squad.

As reported by RAI journalist Alessandro Antinelli, Immobile has been ruled out of the game between Italy and England due to a muscle injury. The seriousness of the issue is still unclear but it’s likely that he’ll miss the other Nations League game against Hungary as well.

The Lazio star has made 55 caps for the Azzurri since his debut in March 2014 and he’s netted 15 goals in that time, including two in the victorious Euro 2020 run last year.
