Lazio defender Nicolo Casale has been sidelined for around a month after suffering an adductor injury.
The 24-year-old Italian centre back joined the Biancocelesti in the summer from Hellas Verona and has gotten off to a slow start to life under Maurizio Sarri, being a backup option behind impressive duo Alessio Romagnoli and Patric. Casale has been working hard in Formello, desperate to quickly adapt to the new system in Rome.
As highlighted by LazioNews24, Casale has suffered an adductor injury and he’s set to be absent for around a month, limiting Sarri’s options in defence. He will certainly miss Lazio’s next few matchers against Spezia, Sturm Graz and Fiorentina.
Lazio then face Sturm Graz again and Udinese, two more matches that the 24-year-old is likely to miss, but he’s hoping to return in time for the game against Atalanta on 23rd October.
Casale has already begun a personalised recovery plan and is being monitored on a daily basis, with the club’s medical staff hoping that he can return a little sooner than initially expected.
