Nicolo Casale underwent a new round of medical tests today as he works to recover in time for Lazio’s next Serie A clash against Fiorentina.
The 24-year-old Italian defender has been sidelined for a few weeks after suffering a tear in his adductor muscle, forcing him to miss out on the 4-0 win over Spezia on the weekend. Casale will not be a part of the Lazio squad for tomorrow’s Europa League clash against Sturm Graz but he could return to action soon.
As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Casale underwent an MRI today to assess his condition and see if he’ll be able to take part in the next match against Fiorentina. Lazio hope to recover the 24-year-old in time, allowing him to join the squad for the trip to Florence.
The former Hellas Verona defender has had a limited impact in the Italian capital since his arrival, struggling to displace the strong duo of Patric and Alessio Romagnoli.
