Yesterday news broke that Lazio were planning a winter training camp in Argentina during the World Cup break but South America is only one of many options the club are considering.

The Biancocelesti will only lose a few players to international duty during the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, with those heading to the tournament including Serbia’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Uruguay’s Matias Vecino. The rest of the Lazio squad and Maurizio Sarri will be able to use that six-week period to prepare for the second half of the season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Argentina is only one of a few options for Lazio as they plan their winter training camp. It’s certainly the most exciting prospect, featuring a mini-tournament with Boca Juniors, River Plate and San Lorenzo, but also the most complicated to pull off.

Other ideas currently include Spain and Turkey, which would be much more feasible and obviously require less travel.

A decision is expected to be taken in the coming days and Sarri will also weigh in with his thoughts.
