Adam Marusic has signed a further one-year contract extension with Lazio, tying him to the club until 2025.
The 29-year-old Montenegrin full back started last season in the final year of his contract and quickly proved his qualities under Maurizio Sarri, being a reliable and tactically flexible option in defence. Last year he signed a two-year extension with Lazio, extending his stay in Rome until 2024, and now he’s pushed this back further.
As seen in Lazio’s financial report (via LazioNews24), Marusic has now extended his contract with Lazio until 2025, keeping him in Rome for the next few years. He has continued to feature regularly under Sarri this season and can now continue working comfortably in the Italian capital.
Marusic arrived in Rome in the summer of 2017 from Belgian side KV Oostende in a deal worth around €5.5m. Since his arrival, the Montenegrin full back has made 187 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists.
