Lazio vs Udinese: Recent History
Maurizio Sarri’s side flew to their third consecutive 4-0 win in Serie A last weekend against Fiorentina, but they lost a little momentum in a draining 2-2 draw with Sturm Graz in the mid-week match. Lazio have looked better domestically than they have in Europe, so Sarri will be expecting a strong response against Udinese.
Udinese are one of the surprises of this Serie A season, sitting fourth in the table after nine games following an electric start. The Friulian side won six consecutive league games before being held to a 2-2 draw with Atalanta last weekend and they’ll be hoping to restore momentum to continue living the dream.
Last season, Lazio picked up a 4-4 draw with Udinese at home and a 1-1 draw away, with both being tense and edgy clashes.
Expected Starting Lineups
Sarri has a fully fit Lazio squad and will bring Alessio Romagnoli and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic back to the starting lineup after leaving them on the bench in the 2-2 draw with Sturm Graz.
Udinese will have to do without Leonardo Buta and Adam Masina for the match, with Rodrigo Becao also in doubt.
Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Patric, Romagnoli, Marusic; Milinkovic-Savic, Vecino, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.
Udinese (3-5-2): Silvestri; Rodrigo Becao; Bijol, Perez; Pereya, Lovric, Walace, Makengo, Udogie; Beto, Deulofeu.
